The foundation aims to support individuals, institutions, and projects in Switzerland and abroad that are engaged in charitable, humanitarian, health-promoting, educational, scientific, or cultural activities for the public good. In particular, the foundation aims to support institutions and projects that focus on integrating the unemployed into the primary labor market. These institutions should create job opportunities based on market economy criteria, thereby relieving the taxpayer as much as possible. Furthermore, they should pursue the general goal of enabling the unemployed to earn their own living through meaningful work in the long term, thus regaining their dignity and the feeling of being needed by society. Initially, the foundation supports the Stiftung für Arbeit, St. Gallen, and its operational companies, as well as any potential legal successors. In addition, the foundation can also support activities, programs, and projects of other Swiss institutions in the field of integrating the unemployed. The foundation pursues public and non-profit purposes; it is politically and denominationally neutral. The foundation does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit.
