The cooperative aims to provide its members with healthy and affordable housing through joint self-help and shared responsibility. It strives to offer housing, in particular, to employees of SBB or public transportation. The cooperative promotes community living in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. It seeks to achieve this purpose through: the acquisition of building land and building rights; the construction and acquisition of single-family and multi-family homes that meet modern cooperative housing needs; careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renovation of existing buildings; the construction of replacement new buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner; the use of financing from SBB or SBB Pension Fund in accordance with the Guidelines for Cooperative Housing Construction, as well as funding instruments under the Federal Housing Promotion Act or corresponding cantonal and communal laws; the management and rental of apartments on a cost-rent basis; the adjustment of rent according to social criteria; the promotion of cooperative activities in the settlements; and the ideal and material support of efforts aimed at affordable, healthy, and good housing. The cooperative's activity is non-profit and not driven by profit. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with the same or similar goals.
