The EKIA - Emma Kodály International Academy association pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes in the sense of Art. 60 ff. ZGB. The aim of the association is to promote holistic, bilingual and internationally oriented education for children aged 1 to 15. To this end, the association develops and operates pedagogically high-quality educational and enrichment programs in the fields of music, art, language, mathematics, natural sciences, movement, technology and engineering. The offers are based on the pedagogical principles of the International Baccalaureate (IB), the Swiss curriculum 21 and reform pedagogical approaches such as Kodály, Orff, Kneipp and Montessori pedagogy. The association particularly promotes interest and competence development in the MINT areas (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology), with a special focus on creative approaches to programming, construction, digital thinking and inquiry-based learning. The association can develop, produce, disseminate and market its own educational initiatives, courses, clubs, teaching formats, events, materials and publications to achieve its purpose. This includes in particular the creation and dissemination of its own pedagogical and didactic teaching materials in physical or digital form. In addition, the association can conduct workshops, further education and other events as well as cooperate with schools, kindergartens, municipalities, specialists, foundations and public or private institutions at home and abroad. The association is non-profit and denominationally and politically neutral.
