Energie Genossenschaft Thalwil (EGT)

The cooperative aims to promote and use renewable and sustainable energy sources for the production and promotion of environmentally friendly heat, electricity and mobility. It is committed to the rational and efficient use of energy and to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The economic activities of the cooperative serve to increase the common good. Environmental, landscape, nature and homeland protection concerns are to be taken into account within the framework of the cooperative's purpose. To achieve the cooperative's purpose, EGT essentially sets itself the following tasks: realization of its own renewable energy production facilities; participation in third-party facilities and financing assistance for third-party facilities; implementation of innovative mobility concepts; promotion of resource efficiency; processing of technical and energy policy issues.
