EPI is a non-profit association and does not pursue any commercial or profit-making objectives. Its activities are exercised exclusively and irrevocably in the public interest, including for the benefit of its members. The association addresses an open circle of beneficiaries. EPI is based on the scientific consideration that energy constitutes a universal link between all physical processes, thus representing a fundamental strategic factor for human well-being and a structural constraint on socio-economic development. EPI aims to promote energy culture, understanding of energy systems, intersectoral and international partnerships, and to bring together the actors of the energy ecosystem to address global challenges, including electrification, energy mix, resilience of energy systems, financial accessibility, and sustainable innovation. EPI constitutes a global platform dedicated to improving the energy debate, placing electricity and the energy mix at the center of discussions, respecting regional specificities and their essential role in industrialization, health, economic development, the environment, peace, and global prosperity.
