The purpose of the foundation is to promote and develop new technologies and applications, particularly in the areas of new open and decentralized software architectures. The primary focus - but not exclusively - is on promoting and developing the so-called Entropy Protocol and corresponding technologies, as well as promoting and supporting applications using the Entropy Protocol. To this end, the foundation may support and finance suitable research and development activities and projects, publicly promote and educate about the Entropy Protocol, issue, receive, use, and store digital information units (no speculative trading activities), contact various companies, partners, banks, regulators, authorities, or other third parties for the benefit of the Entropy ecosystem, expend received contributions, participate in companies, acquire, hold, or grant trademark rights and other IP rights or license rights, organize conferences or other events to support and promote the Entropy Protocol, conduct and promote all business and participate in all transactions, and generally take all actions necessary, appropriate, related, or desirable to achieve or promote the goals described herein. The foundation may also transfer the fulfillment of its tasks to other organizations, acquire and/or promote such organizations. The foundation is non-profit and does not aim to make a profit. Within the scope of its purpose, the foundation may operate domestically and internationally. The founders reserve the right to change the foundation's purpose in accordance with Article 86a of the Swiss Civil Code.
