The main objective of this foundation is to promote and develop fair carbon markets that contribute to the protection of the environment and the climate. To achieve this goal, the foundation may in particular focus on mobilizing the funds and resources required to: a. Promote fair carbon pricing systems as an instrument to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in a cost-effective and equitable manner for all participating countries and sectors; b. Promote international transactions as a mechanism to reduce the costs of mitigation and adaptation and to scale up the sustainability benefits in developing countries, in order to increase the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, drive innovation, facilitate the transfer of clean technologies, and not compromise the fulfillment of the home country's national commitments; c. Promote a fair distribution of the benefits of carbon markets among the actors of emission reduction, the communities, the developers, and the owners of emission reduction projects in developing countries; d. Strengthen international and regional cooperation and collaboration; e. Design and implement innovative financing systems that promote economic development, innovation and value creation, job creation, the fight against climate change, and the sustainable use of biodiversity. Excluded are activities that are subject to the licensing requirements of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. The foundation operates within the scope of its purpose both domestically and internationally. The foundation pursues exclusively a non-profit purpose. The foundation has no commercial purpose and does not aim to make a profit.
