The association is based on the foundation of the evangelical tradition in Switzerland and aims to promote and foster general knowledge and understanding, education, and respectful intercultural and interreligious dialogue among interested parties of any denomination, religion, and belief system within the context of all religious and secular traditions of Christianity and Judaism. The association's purpose is specifically achieved through the organization and implementation of training modules for students, researchers, and adult education groups; the conception of cultural programs - e.g., in music, art, literature, and mysticism - in Switzerland and Israel as well as in the rest of the geographical area of the Levant within the framework of events, lectures, and on-site trips; the sending of an evangelical pastor to Israel to embody the identity of the Evangelical Swiss Church on site; the establishment and maintenance of a network for Swiss people in Israel; campaigns for the prevention of anti-Semitism; the editing and publication of publications of any kind. To achieve this purpose, the association can enter into cooperations with other organizations, corporations, and companies in Switzerland and abroad as well as engage external experts. The association has a non-profit and idealistic objective, does not pursue any commercial purpose, and is not profit-oriented.
