In fulfillment of a public task assigned to it by the Upper Valais municipalities with which it is connected through long-term contracts, particularly in the districts of Brig, Östlich-Raron and Goms, the company aims to provide the contract area with a secure, economical and affordable supply of electrical energy. To this end, it ensures, among other things, the cost-effective provision of the electricity required by customers and its rational distribution. It fulfills this task itself or through its subsidiaries. As the dominant parent company, the company determines the business strategy of the EnBAG Group and its companies. It is responsible for the financing and controlling of the EnBAG Group, whose assets it owns.
