EXIT advocates for the human right to self-determination in life and death. EXIT supports its members in enforcing this right. This purpose is achieved as follows: advising members and non-members in the areas of membership, advance directives, and assisted suicide; supporting the creation and enforcement of EXIT advance directives; supporting the facilitation of assisted suicide in cases of terminal illness, subjectively unbearable suffering, or unbearable disability, as well as generally in cases of suffering in old age; taking into account the psychosocial aspects; supporting organizations and institutions involved in palliative care; advocating for the destigmatization and facilitation of assisted suicide. The association's profits and capital are exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purpose. Commercial purposes are excluded, and no profit is sought.
