2.1 The foundation's primary purpose is to support and strengthen the institution and activities of the Loogarten Old Age and Care Center in Esslingen and the well-being of its residents, primarily from the municipality of Egg, Zurich. The foundation's purpose can be fulfilled through contributions to the Loogarten Foundation, based in Egg, for the management of the Loogarten Old Age and Care Center, for projects and activities, or through donations to its residents' or employees' funds. 2.2 Secondary, the foundation can promote local village culture by making contributions to non-profit and tax-exempt, charitable, cultural (especially musical), church and sports institutions and associations in the municipality of Egg, Zurich. 2.3 Furthermore, with funds not needed to achieve the aforementioned foundation purposes (Art. 2.1 and 2.2), non-profit and tax-exempt institutions with the same purposes as mentioned in Art. 2.1 and 2.2 can be supported, primarily in the surrounding region of Egg, Zurich, and otherwise throughout Switzerland. For the foundation purposes of Art. 2.2 and 2.3, no services should be provided that would otherwise have to be taken over by the state social system or the municipalities.
