The foundation shall pursue the following purposes: a) Promotion of vocational training, studies and professional start-up of the descendants of the founder; b) Financial support for the descendants of the founder on the occasion of their marriage and the birth of children; c) Support for the descendants of the founder and the founder himself in case of economic hardship and need; and d) Support for the descendants of the founder and the founder himself in case of illness and disability, for medical treatments and rehabilitation measures, including aids and costs for institutional care. Whenever these statutes refer to a descendant, it exclusively refers to the founder's daughter, Katharina Simon, born on October 10, 1985, as the beneficiary. The benefit of family members through financial support must not exceed 90% of the annual returns of the foundation's assets. At least 10% of the returns must be allocated to a reserve for capital preservation, which is intended to permanently maintain and support the value of the foundation's capital. Inheritance taxes that may arise in future years and burden the foundation shall be deducted from this reserve.
