The foundation's purpose is to: preserve, safeguard and promote the artistic and musical heritage of the late Claude Nobs, founder of the Montreux Jazz Festival, in particular by organizing the conservation of all original physical music media of any kind that the foundation may receive or acquire (masters, additional masters for future editions and others) in accordance with the highest standards and practices; act as custodian or user of objects, collections, buildings or museum elements related to Claude Nobs, whether loaned, rented, donated or acquired by the foundation; support, organize or partner with educational, charitable, social, humanitarian or cultural activities related to the promotion of the arts and culture in Montreux or elsewhere in Switzerland and around the world, in order to perpetuate and pursue the objectives and dissemination of the values associated with Claude Nobs' work; receive all forms of donations, grants, partnerships or other support that may help the foundation fulfill its mission (for complete purpose see foundation deed).
