The foundation aims to explore and communicate Cuno Amiet's work and its significance in the cultural and social context; to acquire and maintain the artist's brand and enforce copyright; to establish and operate a competence center for all matters related to Cuno Amiet (archiving, conservation, documentation of the work) in cooperation with art-historically active institutions and individuals; to carry out activities to promote the general public's interest in art and culture. The foundation can support other non-profit institutions or individuals who deal with art and culture; to preserve the residence and workplace of Cuno Amiet and to establish and operate a meeting and inspiration center where the personality of Cuno Amiet and the transmission of knowledge about his person and work are at the center. The operation of the center can be legally separated. The purpose of the foundation is exclusively non-profit within the meaning of Article 56 of the Federal Act on Direct Federal Taxes and Article 83 of the Bernese Tax Act. The foundation does not pursue any commercial purpose. The foundation is active in Switzerland within the framework of its purpose. The foundation's profits and capital are exclusively and irrevocably dedicated to the aforementioned purpose.
