The Dr. Martin Preiswerk Foundation aims to encourage and support, directly or indirectly, research and development of new applications in technical fields, particularly in medicine. To this end, the foundation may finance research and development in Switzerland by financially participating in projects or by directly or indirectly supporting individuals involved in these projects, for example by awarding scholarships in a university, university of applied sciences, laboratory or university hospital setting. The foundation may engage in any other activities that promote, directly or indirectly, the aforementioned purpose. In accordance with its purpose, the foundation operates throughout Switzerland. The founder expressly reserves the right to modify the purpose in accordance with Article 86a of the Swiss Civil Code. The foundation's profits and capital are exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purpose. The foundation has a public utility character and does not pursue any profit-making purpose. It is also apolitical and non-denominational.
