To conserve and promote the historical heritage of Yverdon and its region, bearing witness to human activity from its origins to the present day; to ensure the execution of all operations related to the operation and promotion of the Museum, in particular to appoint or mandate persons responsible for the management, enhancement, supervision and presentation of the collections; to ensure the enrichment, preservation and classification of the collections and to assume the management and conservation of state-owned assets entrusted to the Museum under legal provisions; to promote the study of the collections, make them available to researchers, ensure their supraregional, national or international dissemination; to guarantee public access to the objects forming the collections by showcasing them in permanent exhibition halls, as well as through temporary exhibitions; to maintain and develop relationships and collaborations with any institution having similar interests and goals to those of the foundation, in particular with the museums of the region and the Cantonal Museum of Archaeology and History, representing the state owner of archaeological material deposited in the museum; to organize conferences, seminars, activities for young people and guided tours aimed at promoting interest in regional history.
