The foundation, which aims to be of public utility, has the purpose of creating, maintaining and developing a museum and a centre for studies and research in order to highlight and make known automobiles, particularly from a historical, technical and aesthetic point of view. It finances and supports the publication of documents, catalogues and cultural and scientific works concerning automobiles. The foundation also promotes the organisation of exhibitions and seminars aimed at enriching and making known the automotive heritage. Similarly, it organises a documentation and archive centre. The foundation will make available to third parties, in particular to future mechanics, technicians and engineers, the means to perfect their knowledge in the field of automobiles. It will also provide historians and scientists with an important working tool. The foundation also aims to develop tourism by creating a new type of museum in the Neuchâtel region. The foundation pursues its purpose both nationally and internationally.
