Preserve and complete an archive fund on the life and work of the Swiss painter Ferdinand Hodler (1853-1918); gather documentation and continue the collection of information about this artist. Study and encourage the study of Ferdinand Hodler and his time by creating a research community, hosting and supporting students, doctoral students, teachers, and researchers, as well as anyone interested in the artist and his work within a research institute. Promote the work of Ferdinand Hodler to a wide audience, regardless of origin and generation, by organizing exhibitions, publications, cultural mediation activities, and events. Create and operate a museum center dedicated to Ferdinand Hodler for these purposes. The Foundation establishes contacts and partnerships with scientific and cultural institutions, public or private, in Switzerland and abroad, pursuing similar activities. The Foundation may carry out any real estate and financial transactions directly or indirectly related to its purpose and, in particular, acquire properties and mortgage them. It may carry out any transaction directly or indirectly related to its purpose. The Foundation has no profit-making purpose and no political, denominational, or governmental character.
