to finance the publication in France and the distribution, notably in Switzerland, of the biography of General Roumiantzoff, entitled: Le ROUM, Le spahi du général de Gaulle, le héros méconnu de la Libération; to promote historical education by a) awarding an annual prize of CHF 2,500.00 (Prix Général ROUMIANTZOFF, Grand officiel de la Légion d'honneur - Compagnon de la Libération) to the best dissertation written by a francophone student aged 21 or under, on a current topic (chosen by the foundation's board members) related to a significant historical event covered in General Roumiantzoff's biography; b) awarding a one-time subsidy of CHF 3,000.00 (Prix Comtesse Myranda ROUMIANTZOFF) to a doctoral student in military history residing in Switzerland or France; to provide non-recurring assistance to widows/widowers or orphans of a Swiss or French career military personnel who died in the course of military or humanitarian operations, by awarding a subsidy of CHF 3,500.00 (Prix Comtesse Pierrette ROUMIANTZOFF); to participate, through a unique and exceptional contribution of CHF 5,000.00, in the publication of a work of general interest on a military topic (Participation littéraire Famille ROUMIANTZOFF); to permanently hold and exhibit in Switzerland or other countries, military objects that belonged to General Roumiantzoff and were attributed to the foundation, or other objects received by the foundation, and to make them available for exhibitions in Switzerland or worldwide on events in which General Roumiantzoff participated during his lifetime; within the framework of its objectives, the foundation operates primarily in Switzerland, but also in Europe.
