The foundation pursues the following purposes: 1. To ensure the preservation, maintenance and profitability of the assets entrusted to it, in accordance with the instructions and wishes of the founder. 2. In case of availability: a) to support social and philanthropic institutions based in the canton of Geneva, as well as individuals residing in Geneva and facing financial difficulties; b) to support, in particular through the granting of scholarships, the training of young people (pupils, students, apprentices) in Geneva-based educational institutions (including special needs education); c) to support cultural institutions based in the canton of Geneva, as well as cultural projects in Geneva; d) to support humanitarian institutions based in the canton of Geneva; e) to contribute to the protection of animals and their ecosystems. As part of its mission, the foundation notably supports: women in financial difficulty and residing in the canton of Geneva; institutions for the visually impaired residing in the canton of Geneva; the Hospice général and the Bureau central d'aide sociale in Geneva; the Geneva Watchmaking School, through an annual subsidy for technical research and prizes; the Centre de formation professionnelle arts appliqués in Geneva, and the HEAD, Haute école d'art et de design in Geneva, through an annual subsidy for watchmaking prizes; the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Geneva, to support students; the CSEM, Centre suisse d'électronique et de microtechnique SA - Recherche et Développement in Neuchâtel, through an annual subsidy for special work and education expenses in the watchmaking field. As part of its mission, the foundation allocates all income and useful resources to the maintenance and normal development of its assets, and ensures in particular the control, homogeneity and development of the Rolex group, in the spirit and traditions of the founder. The foundation may carry out any operation directly or indirectly related to its purpose.
