The foundation aims to establish and operate a bilingual hospice in Biel/Bienne for seriously ill people in the final stages of life. The foundation or hospice provides specialized palliative care, organizes medical, nursing, spiritual and social counseling, care and support for people at the end of life, supports and accompanies relatives; accepts people of all social backgrounds and faiths; promotes the training and further education of volunteer hospice helpers; accompanies affected people with a clear commitment to the principles of palliative care and tries to offer them the highest possible quality of life. The foundation can acquire and sell plots of land, properties, building rights of all kinds. It can establish and operate companies, in particular subsidiary or operating companies for the hospice, or have the hospice operated by one or more third parties. The foundation is active in the canton of Bern within the framework of its purpose. The foundation's profits and capital are exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purposes. Profit-making purposes are explicitly excluded.
