to optimize the coexistence between human activities and the presence of predators, particularly the wolf, which symbolizes most of the conflicts of use of natural spaces that may arise between humans and wild animals; achieving the conservation of pastoral activities and wolves in the same territory also means paving the way for the protection of other threatened environments and species that are less emblematic; the foundation achieves its goal primarily through the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge, through scientific research and exchanges with the actors of this coexistence; the foundation deploys its activity at national, European and global level; it seeks and proposes concrete, pragmatic and adapted solutions that promote a balanced and viable long-term coexistence between humans and predators and a fair and sustainable management of natural spaces; in this sense, more generally, the foundation promotes and encourages the maintenance of pastoral activities, aware of their predominant role in the management of natural spaces, advocates for the consideration of the role of predators in ecosystems, does everything possible to ensure that appropriate means are dedicated to the acquisition of knowledge and prevention, tries, as far as possible, to maintain an independent and objective positioning, systematically preferring a scientific and documented approach to any form of emotional drift.
