The Foundation's purposes are: - to attract the headquarters of international sports federations and organizations (FIS) to Vaud; - to identify the specific needs of the international sports world based in the canton of Vaud in order to better respond to them and ensure the long-term presence of the relevant actors; - to develop and promote the unique ecosystem Lausanne Olympic Capital, bringing together the actors involved in international sports on Vaud soil as a development platform for the international sports world; - to animate the FIS network and its staff by offering a number of activities and services related to their professional or recreational practices; - to attract international sports events and congresses to Vaud; - to serve as a single point of contact to inform or facilitate the procedures of any person, institution or organization interested in or belonging to the international sports world; - to coordinate actions and procedures related to the legacy of the Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games, in particular by ensuring the role of interface with the International Olympic Committee (IOC); - to carry out any other project that may strengthen the role and image of Lausanne and the canton of Vaud in the international sports world. The Foundation may also take any other measure in accordance with the purpose set out in paragraph 1. In carrying out its purposes, the Foundation ensures respect for the principles of sustainability.
