The Foundation's purpose is to support, in Switzerland and abroad, charitable activities in one or more of the following areas: Promoting culture; Promoting education, in particular by facilitating access to studies and housing for students in precarious financial situations; Medical and scientific research; Humanitarian and social assistance for people in need or affected in their physical or mental health; Environmental protection and sustainable development. To achieve its purpose, the Foundation may receive any donation, in particular in the form of gifts and legacies, and must manage them in order to redistribute these donations or their products to the benefit of individuals, works or organizations carrying out a project in one of the aforementioned areas, in accordance with the intentions, charges and conditions stipulated by the donors. The Foundation achieves its purpose through the means deemed appropriate by its Board, in particular by: Allocating funds to private or public institutions as well as any organization active in the aforementioned areas; Providing occasional or regular support for one or more humanitarian actions chosen by the Foundation Board; Supporting individual projects directly or indirectly related to the aforementioned areas; Awarding prizes and scholarships in the fields of education (students), medical and scientific research (researchers), and culture (artists, authors); Providing interest-free loans and rental guarantees for students; Making available premises or housing at reduced prices or free of charge for students. The Foundation is non-profit.
