The purpose of the foundation is to provide financial support to environmentally related, innovative, social or societal projects and initiatives that aim to promote the quality of life of local communities (including the people who make up these communities, including employees of the SSE Group and their families) in the countries where the SSE Group (i.e. the founder, its subsidiaries or affiliated companies and units belonging to the same group) operates or has operated. The foundation may also support, directly or indirectly, any institution, association, charitable foundation or project that pursues a purpose similar to the one mentioned above, namely promoting initiatives with an environmental, innovative, social or societal character. In accordance with its purpose, the foundation carries out its activities in Switzerland and abroad. The foundation is not profit-oriented and does not aim to generate profits.
