The foundation exclusively pursues the purpose of a public-benefit grant-making foundation, which will allocate its income, if necessary its capital, to organizations based in the canton of Geneva in the following areas: scientific and medical research; promotion of education; assistance to disadvantaged or vulnerable individuals; encouragement and support of cultural, academic and spiritual activities; environmental protection. The foundation may carry out any operation directly or indirectly related to its purpose and in accordance with its spirit. In this sense, the foundation develops privileged collaborations with Geneva-based institutions. The foundation does not pursue any profit-making purpose and has no political, denominational or governmental character. The Foundation Board shall have full and complete freedom to implement this article and achieve the foundation's objectives. It shall be free, in particular, to allocate benefits and, if necessary, determine their amount, without any restriction. No subjective right is granted to potential beneficiaries of the foundation's benefits.
