In Switzerland and worldwide, the foundation's purposes are: a) promoting environmental protection and sustainable development; b) promoting education; c) promoting art, culture, and science; and d) promoting public health, humanitarian aid, and social welfare. The foundation may take any action and engage in any activity aimed at achieving the aforementioned objectives. The foundation's actions will consist, in particular, of: a) supporting, including through contributions, philanthropic or public utility institutions pursuing one or more of the aforementioned purposes; and b) undertaking, as needed in collaboration with third parties, field actions and programs, including the establishment of prizes, scholarships, or other similar forms. The foundation is non-profit and does not aim to make a profit. The founder expressly reserves the right to modify the purpose in accordance with Article 86a of the Swiss Civil Code, including by way of a disposition for the cause of death.
