The foundation, in memory of the Genevan writer Philippe Monnier, who passed away on July 21, 1911, is intended to cover the costs of education, establishment, assistance, and illness of the descendants of P. Monnier, insofar as these costs cannot be borne by them due to their economic situation and/or are not covered by private or public insurance or social assistance; if necessary, the subsidy can complement another source of funding; the subsidies awarded by the foundation can only be paid out if the foundation has a sufficient balance after paying all its expenses and an adequate renovation fund for its buildings; to achieve its purpose, the foundation manages its assets with the aim of preserving them, maintaining their framework, and respecting the environment.
