The foundation's purpose is to support philanthropic works, projects in the fields of education, culture, society or public health, in Switzerland and abroad, and particularly in Doba, Chad. More specifically, the Foundation's purpose is to provide assistance or support through financial means to: elderly, disabled, sick, infirm or needy individuals; the promotion and training of individuals in general, and the granting of scholarships in any field, regardless of the age of the beneficiaries; the establishment and operation of hospitals or retirement homes; projects for children's and young adolescents' activities and leisure; religious institutions and the development of charitable projects; the promotion of science, art and charitable projects; research projects. The founders expressly reserve the right, in accordance with Art. 86a of the Swiss Civil Code, to require a modification of the purpose. Within the framework of its purpose, the foundation carries out its activities in Switzerland and abroad. The foundation's profits and capital are exclusively dedicated to the purpose set out above. The foundation does not pursue any lucrative activity. If a public law corporation is legally required to provide services similar to those of the foundation, the latter only intervenes on a subsidiary basis. The foundation has no profit-making purpose and does not aim to make a profit.
