The foundation aims to promote a culture of high-quality building in the canton of Geneva, in the sense of the Davos Declaration of January 22, 2018, which urgently calls on all actors involved, in both the public and private sectors, to recognize the positive effects of a culture of high-quality building on the common good and to assume their responsibilities in its implementation, particularly with regard to all investments related to building culture (www.davosdeclaration2018.ch). The built cultural heritage leaves its mark on human identity and shapes the living space. Including archaeological sites, heritage gardens, and built sites, it is an integral part of the concept of building culture. The foundation's mission is to promote the conservation, protection, use, and enhancement of monuments, built ensembles, constructed, landscape, and archaeological sites. The foundation is non-profit and serves the public interest.
