The preservation and protection of public health, in particular by promoting or assisting in the promotion of global research into the causal mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases with a view to treating or preventing dementia and disseminating the results of such research; the promotion of relief and treatment for people suffering from dementia and related disorders; the support of both people with dementia and those who care for them worldwide. The Foundation will pursue these goals through its own funds and their returns. The competent federal or cantonal authority may modify, at the request of the founder or due to a provision made by the founder in the event of death, the purpose of the foundation if at least 10 years have passed since the establishment of the Foundation or since the last modification required by the founder. As the foundation pursues a public benefit purpose, the new purpose must remain a public service or public benefit purpose.
