The Foundation's purpose is to provide temporary financial assistance to needy individuals, particularly in the form of payment of overdue bills related to areas such as rent, training or professional development fees, sickness benefits, travel expenses, etc. The Social Foundation may also grant subsidies to private or public social or charitable institutions and acquire social shares if necessary. The Social Foundation is of public utility and does not pursue any profit or commercial purpose. If a public law corporation is legally required to provide services similar to those of the social foundation, the latter only intervenes on a subsidiary basis.
