The purpose of the foundation is: to promote stewardship, i.e. the ability of organizations and administrations to contribute to the development of social well-being in the long term through their natural activities, as well as the implementation of governance that takes into account the interests of future generations; to develop scientific research that guides the choices of the various organizations involved; the research will focus on the risks and opportunities related to the distance between decision-makers (notably from the world of capital) and the evolution of society, as well as the analysis and expression of comments on major societal problems and their guidelines; the free publication of studies on specific opportunities and challenges of our society and future generations, as well as a comparison of Switzerland with other countries, major Swiss and foreign investors, and administrations on their ability to address these problems in the long term; these studies will enable a dialogue with national and international political, social, and financial actors and engage experts on these topics; the funding of programs, associations, non-governmental organizations, and projects that respond to the priority challenges of societal transformation and accelerate the awareness of interested parties (for complete purpose see foundation deed).
