To supplement the care provided by the probation network for adult offenders, particularly those who have committed serious physical, psychological or sexual harm to others, by promoting their social integration, preventing them from committing new offenses and continuously assessing the impact of the probation measure and the risk of recidivism, regardless of any non-compliance with the instructions of the state probation authority. The scope and modalities of the care are determined by the Swiss Penal Code. Furthermore, it may provide financial assistance to individuals benefiting from a probation assistance measure, subsidiarily to those released from a detention facility.
