The foundation aims to contribute, in the footsteps and spirit of Carl Weidemeyer, to the development and dissemination of modern architectural and artistic culture, through conferences, debates, publications, exhibitions, guided tours of monuments, exhibitions, etc., and through idea competitions, scholarships or prizes for young architects and artists or other similar incentives for creativity. It may also be part of the purpose to adopt or support initiatives related to themes specifically related to Carl Weidemeyer's work, such as the restoration and new use of the Teatro San Materno or to define Weidemeyer's role in the context of Ascona's cultural life, in particular his relationship with the Monte-Verità movements. The foundation is of public utility and does not pursue profit or commercial purposes.
