The scholarship is intended to contribute to the study expenses of students or PhD students at the Federal Polytechnic University of Zurich or Lausanne, who are children of Lugano patricians or, in the absence of such candidates, citizens of Lugano who have attended the Liceo cantonale 1 in Lugano or the Liceo 2 in Trevano, with a number of one to two per academic year.
