The valorization and safeguarding of the geo-mineralogical heritage of the Centovalli region, particularly the mineral collection of Fabio Girlanda, Terre di Pedemonte-Verscio. As a non-profit organization, it will promote the knowledge of the region's peculiar minerals, with particular attention to the exceptional zircon crystals. Faithful to the museum's beneficial purpose, the founder's intention is clear: to protect these minerals for future generations. To ensure that future generations can know and appreciate the scientific value of this unique discovery and that the entire collection remains in the Centovalli region forever, continuing to contribute to the fascinating world of Earth sciences. The foundation will promote events and exhibitions aimed at enhancing Fabio Girlanda's collection and combining scientific research, environmental education, and the promotion and valorization of the region's natural and cultural heritage. In the heart of nature, accessible to all: scientists and the general public, specialists and students, involving scholars, public school students, and anyone interested in these scientific discoveries. The Foundation also aims to valorize the wonderful landscape and natural heritage of the Centovalli region, including climate, fauna, flora, botany, mycology, water, and springs. To achieve these goals, the creation of a Casa della Natura in Camedo is planned, through the renovation of the houses located on plots NN. 67 and 68 RFD of the Municipality of Centovalli-Camedo, which Mrs. Adelheid Biollay-Lechner, Zurich, will donate to the foundation for this purpose. The exhibition spaces will be accessible to all enthusiasts of natural sciences, visitors, and tourists. Particular attention will be paid to children, young people, and adults who have been less fortunate in life, to introduce them to the wonders of nature and the splendor of life.
