The promotion of biblical studies according to the doctrine of the Catholic Church, through academic and non-academic activities, such as: the funding of courses and other academic activities also at the Faculty of Theology in Lugano (FTL); the funding of scientific activities of the teaching of exegesis of the Old Testament at the FTL; the granting of scholarships for specializations related to the Old Testament; the promotion and funding of scientific activities and initiatives related to subjects related to the Old Testament, such as, for example, archaeology, history, and geography, particularly of the Ancient Near East, the study of biblical languages and other ancient languages that have relevance for biblical disciplines; the history of biblical interpretation, both in the Christian and Jewish contexts. The collection of funds necessary to achieve the purpose, including the possible purchase of movable or immovable property.
