The Foundation has a public utility character and pursues, without profit, the following purposes. The promotion of railway modelling, in particular through the acquisition, enhancement, maintenance and management of miniature train models and everything connected to them (including dioramas and their expansion). The acquisition, maintenance and enhancement of historic properties in Ticino that may come into its ownership, including the possibility of making them available to the public as a museum or exhibition space, or as a centre for seminars, congresses or events. The promotion of education (both basic and continuing) of students domiciled in Ticino or of Ticinese origin, particularly deserving, as well as the support of educational and research institutions of university level or specialized schools, in all fields, for example through the support of specific scientific projects or the awarding of scholarships. More generally, the support of scientific, medical, cultural and social projects, for example through financial assistance to organizations or institutions of public interest in Ticino and Switzerland. The Foundation may acquire, hold and dispose of real estate assets solely for the purpose of obtaining the means to pursue its purposes.
