To encourage students of the Università della Svizzera italiana to become radio collaborators. To this end, it provides funding for the work of scholars through the awarding of grants, scholarships and prizes; contributing to the creation of synergies between the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and the Radiotelevisione della Svizzera italiana (RTSI), supporting and promoting joint historical-scientific research projects on radio and television in particular and on the development of information and communication technologies in general, with reference to the public service mandate and the function of public utility in the national context and in that specific to the Italian-speaking Switzerland; as well as through any initiative that the foundation council, at its sole discretion, deemed appropriate.
