The Foundation pursues exclusively cultural and social purposes; it is of public utility and non-profit. The Foundation aims to: help institutions or entities without profit and acting in favor of Jews and Jewish culture in its literary, artistic, scientific and religious expressions; support social and health actions in favor of Jews who, due to illness, disability, racial or religious discrimination, are in need. To achieve its purposes, the Foundation may: establish or support universities and university faculties in Israel, as well as educational, social, cultural and scientific programs and events in favor of Jewish entities, associations and institutions outside of Israel; financially support Jewish entities, associations and institutions that grant scholarships or awards to students or researchers in the humanities and in all fields of scientific research, both in Israel and outside of Israel; publish books on Jewish thought, the history of Jews and Israel, Jewish and Israeli writers. Publications should not have a commercial purpose; establish or support hospitals or health and social centers and services in Israel and support similar initiatives promoted by Jewish entities, associations and institutions outside of Israel; establish or support and develop centers or services of public utility in Israel and support similar initiatives promoted by Jewish entities, associations and institutions outside of Israel. The Foundation operates in Israel or in Switzerland or in any other country.
