The purpose of the Foundation is to provide financial support to needy but talented and well-behaved individuals who have grown up or reside in the Moesano region, particularly for the promotion of: a) Basic training for apprentices and secondary school students with an apprenticeship position in the Grisons, German-speaking Switzerland or French-speaking Switzerland, respectively, who have passed the admission exams or obtained a mention to attend a secondary school in the aforementioned regions. b) Higher professional training and further education for individuals who already hold a professional certificate of competence or a diploma of study, a secondary school diploma, a maturity certificate or a higher education diploma. Exceptionally, individuals who do not live in the Moesano region may also be considered beneficiaries of the Foundation's services, provided they can demonstrate close family ties to the Moesano region. Needy individuals are considered those who do not have sufficient assets or income, taking into account what the person earns, will earn or could reasonably earn with an activity to be carried out during training. As a rule, contributions to training that the parents of these individuals could reasonably provide must also be taken into account. Only apprentices and students who present good academic results will be considered. The purpose of the Foundation is mainly achieved through the awarding of scholarships and/or interest-free loans for study purposes to cover the total or partial costs of studies, in particular school fees and study fees, and if necessary also the maintenance costs of the person and, in special cases, their family. In addition to completing an apprenticeship and attending a secondary school, the Foundation also considers worthy of support the attendance of a teacher training college, a lyceum, a gymnasium or other public or private schools with the same purpose. For specialized professional training worthy of support by the Foundation, professional courses held in Switzerland and abroad at professional or technical institutes, higher schools, technical colleges and other recognized equivalent institutions are considered, such as: Technical and engineering institutes; Commercial and accounting institutes; Art institutes such as conservatories, modern art schools and similar institutions; Universities, technical colleges; Scientific academies and research institutes; Schools and institutes of pedagogy and theology; Technical institutes in the social and health sector; Hotel schools. In special cases, the Foundation's support is also provided for purely practical professional training without actual attendance at a school.
