In general, it supports activities, events, projects, of individuals and private or public law entities that pursue charitable and socio-educational purposes with a Catholic orientation. The Foundation can in particular support: large families, elderly people, secular clergy, members of monastic orders in need; convents, dioceses and parishes; charitable, religious, social and educational institutions. The Foundation is authorized to take all necessary measures to promote the purposes for which it was established. It is also authorized to acquire, manage, encumber and sell real estate and participations; the Foundation may also provide guarantees and grant loans within the scope of its purpose. The Foundation's field of activity can also extend internationally, while concentrating in principle in Switzerland and giving priority to the reality of the canton where the foundation is based. The foundation council must - in principle - ensure that at least 75% of the annual allocations are intended to be used in the Swiss territory and an important part of them in the canton where the Foundation is based.
