The foundation aims to assist, support and guarantee the activities of UNITAS over time, as well as to provide services to visually impaired or blind individuals in need, who are usually members or users of UNITAS. To better coordinate the services to be provided, the foundation may conclude agreements with other institutions active in this field. To achieve its goals, the foundation may also acquire, purchase shares or establish companies whose purpose falls within the objectives of the foundation. These participations, subject to the supervision of the management by the Foundation Board, may be financially supported by the foundation with the timing and modalities to be defined from time to time. The foundation manages its assets, legacies, inheritances, donations and other devolutions made in favor of the foundation itself or transmitted or entrusted to it by UNITAS in a profitable manner. As a rule, the support for UNITAS is financed with the results of current management. In special cases, the foundation may also use its assets to enable UNITAS to fulfill its social purposes or to provide special services to visually impaired or blind individuals in need.
