The purpose of the foundation is to promote awareness and support individuals and projects in the fields of art, design, and design. Artistic concerns, such as sculpture, sculptural creation, ceramics, product and industrial design made from various materials, such as ceramics, glass, metal, wood, paper, marble, and granite, are to be promoted. The foundation grants artistic individuals or project teams who have a legal residence and/or a professional activity for at least two years primarily in the canton of Zurich, or secondarily in the cantons of St. Gallen, Thurgau or Schaffhausen and have a corresponding anchorage and presence in the design and design scene in the mentioned cantons. Support is provided in the form of one-time or periodic contributions. The foundation can award one or more one-time or periodic art prizes and can support institutions that promote art. The foundation can work with other organizations or institutions with similar goals. The institution does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit.
