The association aims to bring together, in the canton of Fribourg, all professions active in the field of industrial technology. It seeks to raise the level of competence of its members through initial vocational training and the promotion thereof. On the one hand, it organizes inter-company courses for apprentices in all professions for which a mandate is given by the state. On the other hand, it offers basic training in the fields of polymechanics, automation, and industrial design. It may also offer basic training in other professions in the field of industrial technology. It manages an independent training center for the benefit of a network of partner companies and contributes to the financing of the development of workshops and infrastructure necessary for the organization of inter-company courses and basic training. It actively participates in the promotion of vocational training in the field through actions such as START, discovery days, information evenings, and practical internships. If the training capacities of companies are insufficient, it can develop other types of training structures for the professions in the field - evening courses, continuing education, etc. The provision of appreciable financial benefits to association members is excluded. The association does not pursue a profit-making or commercial purpose.
