The purpose of the company is: to operate a part of a comprehensive fiber-optic network, with the goal that those fiber-optic pairs operated by the company are to remain in the long-term ownership of the company; to monetize the part of the comprehensive fiber-optic network operated by the company, in particular through the rental or leasing of the part of the comprehensive fiber-optic network operated by the company to service providers and/or the provision of connectivity services (provision of an Open Access Network to external service providers, which in turn provide simple internet services to end customers); to the extent necessary for the operation of the part of the comprehensive fiber-optic network operated by the company, to conclude cooperations of any kind with private and public-law entities to ensure a comprehensive fiber-optic network in cities and municipalities in the regions; and to conclude any related ancillary and secondary transactions. The company's activities are limited to Switzerland. The company may establish subsidiaries and branches and participate in other companies. The company may acquire, hold and sell operating properties and intellectual property rights. The company may also engage in all commercial, financial and other activities that are directly or indirectly related to the purpose of the company. The company may grant loans and other direct or indirect financing to group companies and third parties, including their (direct and indirect) shareholders and their group companies, and provide security of any kind for their liabilities, including by way of pledges on or fiduciary transfers of the company's assets or guarantees of any kind, whether remunerated or not, even if such financing, security or guarantees are in the exclusive interest of group companies or third parties, including their (direct and indirect) shareholders or their group companies.
