The foundation's purpose is a) to provide financial, non-repayable grants or loans to individuals who have had or currently have an active employment relationship with one of the worldwide companies or former worldwide companies of the Ascom Group, as well as to the spouses or life partners (at least 5 years of uninterrupted cohabitation) of such individuals, to the extent that they are in need despite receiving benefits from social insurance, social institutions, and pension funds; b) to annually allocate a percentage of the foundation's annual income and/or one-time payments from the foundation's assets to a fund of the Department of Social Welfare and Health of the City of Bern, as well as to other charitable institutions of public and private nature in the Bern region, which aim to support people in need in the broadest sense, free of charge; c) to cover professional training and/or continuing education costs and related living expenses for individuals who are or have been employed by the Ascom Group, who do not have the financial means to do so, provided that they complete training and/or continuing education in the fields of activity of the worldwide companies or former worldwide companies of the Ascom Group, and this is crucial for securing their future livelihood. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose.
