The purpose of the company is to acquire, hold, manage, exploit and dispose of domestic and foreign participations, whether directly or indirectly, particularly in the areas of flight and community catering, retail trade in means of transport, the manufacture, processing, sale and distribution of food, beverages and food-related products, the manufacture of equipment for catering establishments and related fields; the company may also establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad. The company may acquire, hold, manage, exploit and dispose of real estate and intellectual property rights in Switzerland and abroad. The company may carry out all commercial, financial and other activities that appear suitable to promote the realization of its purpose, or that are in the interest of the gategroup group or its group companies, or that are directly or indirectly related to the purpose of the company. The company may also provide financing for its own account or for the account of third parties and grant direct or indirect financing to affiliated companies and third parties, provide security of all kinds (including by way of pledge, fiduciary transfer or assignment of the company's assets) or guarantees for its own liabilities and those of affiliated companies, enter into suretyships or otherwise secure or guarantee obligations of the company or affiliated companies, even if such security or guarantees are in the exclusive interest of their direct or indirect shareholders or other group companies, whether for consideration or not. Furthermore, it may operate a liquidity adjustment/concentration of net liquidity (cash pooling) with affiliated companies or join such a system, including periodic account balancing. This also applies to preferential conditions without interest, excluding the company's profit motive and assuming cluster risks.
