The foundation aims to preserve the artistic work of the Gehri family from Seedorf, BE, in particular Karl Gehri (1850-1922), his father Christian Gehri (1808-1882), and his son Franz Gehri (1882-1960), and to make this work accessible to the public. This is achieved through the support and organization of publications, events, guided tours, and similar activities. The foundation lends artworks from its collection to suitable museums and galleries, as well as to selected organizations, institutions, or third parties. The inventory is expanded through donations and purchases, possibly also from contemporaries and other artists who relate to the spirit and work of this family of artists. Further activities to achieve the foundation's purpose are possible. The foundation can acquire or sell real estate if it is related to the foundation's purpose or serves as an investment, as well as enter into all business transactions and conclude contracts that are suitable to promote the purpose of the foundation or are directly or indirectly related to it. The foundation is primarily active in Switzerland within the scope of its purpose, but can also be active abroad. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose.
